The blazing hot Mets are back in action after 7 straight wins and a sweep against the Giants as they head down to face the Padres in a 3-game series.

The 57-49 San Diego Padres have been cold recently, despite only winning 2 of their last 6 games and being 5-5 over the past 10.

The Padres have been dealing with a very lackluster offense, ranking towards the bottom in many categories. They are 25th in runs scored, 29th in homers, 25th in slugging, and 23rd in OPS.
